The Crimson Ride shuttle picks up and drops off at the front of the community by the gate from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM and arrives every 30 minutes.
Yes! Guests are welcome to visit the community. We ask that a guests visit be no more than 3 consecutive nights and no more than 6 nights per month to maintain respectful and harmonious living arrangements between roommates.
Unassigned private lot parking is complimentary and included in rent.
Apartments are furnished with a 55-inch screen tv, entertainment stand, sofa, sofa chair, coffee table, side table, dining table, and four dining table chairs in the common area. Bedspaces are furnished with a queen size bedframe (residents must provide their own mattress), desk, chair, a 2 stackable dressers.
Vie at University Downs is a gated community. Residents will have an app that will allow them as well as their guests access to enter the property. Security patrols the grounds at night and on the weekends.

We require 3x the monthly rent for income. A credit score of 680 or above will be fully approved with no fee. A credit score from 550-679 will require a conditional approval fee of $500. A credit score of 549 or below will require a Security Deposit that equals 1 month's rent or adding a guarantor. You may find the verifiable sources of income within the application. Please note: Assurant bonds are no longer accepted.
Because we are a private entity that is not affiliated with the University of Alabama or Stillman College, all residents are responsible for timely payments on their accounts. Most students who pay with financial aid will utilize their refund for payment or reimbursement after it is received.
Our rent rate includes water, trash, cable, internet, pest control, sewer, and trash. Electricity is billed separately based on usage for the unit and divided evenly amongst all roommates in the apartment.
